If you are an NHS patient we have strict policy in place for missed appointments. If you fail to attend two appointments without sufficient notification, it may be that we are unable to provide you with further treatment at our practice. If you are a private/plan patient and you fail to attend this may result in a charge for the missed appointment.
We send automated text reminders around three days before appointments. This is a courtesy service and we ask patients not to rely on it. We ask patients to request a copy of their appointments at reception.
We ask patients to keep up with regular examinations to remain a patient at the practice. NHS patients who have not been seen for two years or more will have to rejoin our waiting list in order to be seen. Patients should take responsibility for scheduling their appointments; as we do not have software to alert us to the fact that patients are due for an appointment.
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel an appointment, that way we can offer the space to someone else.
