Its National Smile Month from the 13th May to 13th June 2019, which is a charity campaign organised by the Oral Health Foundation, dedicated to improving oral health and promoting the importance of a healthy mouth.
Our teeth play a vital role as they help us chew, digest, talk and even give our face shape! So this is why it is important to give our oral health the best care!
There is so much we could say, but here are threestarting points which the Oral Health Foundation state are key to improving your oral health:
- Brush your teeth last thing at night and at one other time during the day with a fluoride toothpaste
- Cut down how much and how often you have sugary foods and drinks
- Visit your dentist regularly, or as often as they recommend
These are simple yet effective and emphasize the importance of maintaining a healthy mouth. The aim is to not only improve your physical health but also your mental well being!
